Our Dance this year is dedicated to the memory of Dennis Banks, a champion of indigenous causes not only in the United States, but around the world. Dennis was a huge supporter of the Animal Spirit Dance and firmly believed that we must reestablish our connections with the natural world and discover our place in it. Through this Dance we not only give our thanks to our relations, but we honor the memory of a man who has given our people so much.

 

We have invited tribal leaders and activists from across the country to join us in honoring Dennis and need your help  to make their travel possible. We will be holding fundraising activities throughout the year, so please check out our events and join us for the Dance on July 14th.
