July 14th 2018

The community and elders that has gathered together to host this ceremony has a clear vision of all nations gathering together in a safe place to reconnect to our people's traditions and ceremonies. During the day there will be many different activities. For the children, there's a kids corner with active storytelling, arts and crafts, and traditional games. At midday everyone will gather together to listen to our honored guests and to share in the opening ceremony where water from all over Turtle Island will be joined together. Around Sunset we will gather together for a traditional Buddhist lighting of the lanterns in honor of those loved ones who have passed over to the other side this year. Finally, after the sun has set and we have shared in a communal dinner (bring a dish to share!) we will gather together to honor our animal relations with the Animal Spirit Dance.

The links below give more information on each of the different activities or ceremonies. If you are planning to join us for the evening ceremonies, please make sure you review the appropriate protocol. If you have questions, please contact us.
